The Mamiya 645 are legendary medium format lenses that have been rehoused and repurposed to be cover large format open gate sensors. These lenses are an excellent way to bring timeless character to cutting edge digital cinema.
These Medium Format Primes have a speed booster within the rehousing and have full cinema conversions with smooth geared focus and iris, and accurate markings for pulling focus. All lenses have a 300 degree focus throw and all except the 18mm share the same front dimensions; 95mm front diameter and 77mm screw threads.The MAMIYA 645N lenses show negligible to non-existent vignetting on 8K sensors and FF sensors throughout the aperture range. The ‘N’ version offers improved multi-coating and controlled contrast, with images retaining sharpness throughout the frame. The MAMIYA 645N excels at the S35 level as well, creating almost perfect edge-to-edge sharpness, contrast, and illumination.
