These are early Japanese anamorphics dating back to the early 1960s, pre-dating the popular Kowa Anamorphics.

Developed during in the early startup days of NAC imaging and during the 60s and 70s, arguably the most exciting period for Japanese optics, these lenses were made with highly regarded Canon Rangefinder base block lenses with a front anamorphic adapter.
Those familiar with Rangefinder glass won’t be surprised by the degree of higher contrast, sharpness and richness to the image, along with strong anamorphic character like soft oval bokeh, barrel distortion and streaky flares. Despite being such vintage anamorphics, there is an incredibly balanced and organic feel to the image these lenses create which lends itself perfectly for cinematic imaging.
